european conventions and recommendations in the field of cultural heritage
EXPEDITIO is a non-governmental organization whose mission is to encourage sustainable spatial development in Montenegro and SEE region through activity in the fields of sustainable architecture, cultural heritage, urban planning and through projects that encourage overall development of the civil society. Expeditio was established in 1997.
The publication \”European Conventions and Recommendations in the Field of Cultural Heritage\” contains seven key documents of European Union concerning cultural heritage:
– Convention for the Protection of the Architectural Heritage of Europe, Granada, 3.X.1985;
– European Landscape Convention, Florence, 20.X.2000; – Documents from the IVth European Conference of Ministers responsible for the cultural heritage, Helsinki, 30-31 May 1996:
Helsinki Declaration on the political dimension of cultural heritage conservation in Europe;
Resolution No. 1 – The cultural heritage as a factor in building Europe;
Resolution No. 2 – The cultural heritage as a factor of sustainable development
